Nutreco, an SHV company, has named Petra Volckaert as chief digital officer, effective June 1. Volckaert will also join the management board.
Volckaert brings more than 25 years of experience in senior leadership roles across digital transformation, technology and business innovation. Most recently, she served at DSM-Firmenich as senior vice president digital partner taste, texture and health. In this role, she led the digital agenda, delivering tangible outcomes on post-merger integration, ERP harmonization, and digital food factory concepts, advancing innovation and operational excellence in health and nutrition.
Prior to DSM-Firmenich, Volckaert spent 14 years at Bayer, holding a range of international positions across digital transformation, information technology and global commercial functions.
In her new role, Volckaert will lead the next phase of Nutreco’s digital transformation, focusing on scaling impact, strengthening standards, and embedding digital and data-driven capabilities across the global organization.
